As COVID-19 continues to impact our community, we want to assure our clients, new and existing, that The Highlands Veterinary Hospital remains open and will continue to provide essential veterinary care for your four-legged family members. Our team is taking all the necessary precautions to maintain the health and safety of our dedicated staff, patients and the community. Please see below for our updated COVID-19 protocol.

What Pet Parents Need to Know

At this time, there is no evidence that indicates pets can become ill with COVID-19, or that they can spread the virus to other animals or their owners. However, the CDC does recommend that if you are ill with COVID-19, to limit contact with your pets.  If possible, arrange to have someone take over the routine care of your pet while you recover.  If this is not possible, please make sure to follow necessary safety measures such as washing your hands often, wearing gloves if you are touching your pet, and wearing a mask when taking your pet for a walk. Also, avoid hugging, kissing, petting or sharing food with your pet.

Curbside Check-In Optional

You must call to check in for your appointment, curbside or in-person. If you do wish to enter the clinic with your pet, we are allowing two clients per pet.

Masks are now optional unless you are experiencing signs of covid, have been exposed to someone with covid, or are in your quarantine period, please notify the clinic if you or someone in your household is sick

Prescription and Diet Refills

If you are calling in for a prescription or diet refill, contact us at 973-726-8080 or visit our online pharmacy to fill your prescription online and get it delivered right to your door! Please keep in mind, that supplies are limited. Our staff is doing their best to ensure your pet will have what they need.
